1 Establish composition of stakeholder panel

(In the UK this is likely to include public health physician (x2), medical doctor (x2), radiological protection specialist, environmental health officer, media/communication specialist, head teacher, consumer organisation

2 Hold meeting of sub-group of stakeholder panel to finalise panel membership, objectives, protocols, training requirements, timescales, outputs etc.

(In the UK it is likely that the sub-group will consist of public health physician (x2), medical doctor, radiological protection specialist, environmental health officer, media/communication specialist)

3 Invite potential panel members to participate June 2003
4 Prepare training material for stakeholder panel Oct 2003
5 Hold 1st meeting of stakeholder panel to provide relevant background information on e.g. ETHOS and CORE and an introduction to the objectives of SAGE and the role of the stakeholder panels Nov 2003

6 Circulate draft handbook to stakeholders in advance of 2nd meeting of stakeholder panel Jan 2004
7 Hold 2nd meeting of stakeholder panel to discuss in detail the applicability of the draft handbook in UK. Request feedback on additional measures that might be applicable in western Europe. May 2004

8 Produce separate documents evaluating findings of stakeholder panels in UK, F and D (Milestone 3) Sept 2004
9 Invite members of the stakeholder panel to participate in the European Dissemination Seminar scheduled for March 2005 Sept 2004
10 Produce feedback report on stakeholder panels in UK, F and D, compare/contrast findings in western Europe (D4) March 2005
